2012-04-20 | Adult Great Northern Diver still present. Roger saw a Whooper Swan fly in with 2 Mute Swans at 07.30. I saw it at around 08.45 but no further sign after that. Pink-footed Goose at the Wildlife Centre, Mallard with 2 young near Big Island, 2 female Goldeneye, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 3 Buzzards, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Yellow Wagtail, 50+ Swallow, 33 Blackcap, 26 Willow Warbler and 2 Raven.

2012-04-18 | Lots of Arctic Terns throughout the country today and Carsington didn't miss out. Roger had 1 fly straight through just before 09.30. Shortly after, there was 7 birds which over the course of the day built up to 28. 7 of these flew North at 15.15. The remaining 21 were present until around tea time before leaving. Also today was an adult Little Gull which was around all day feeding with the Terns.
