Simon Roddis, Clive AshtonThe GN and Red-throated Divers were both off Stones island this morning, and the 2 Greater Scaup below Hall Wood, but we couldn't find the Lesser Scaup or Ring-necked Duck. There has been quite a clear-out of wildfowl in recent days so perhaps they've gone. A Lesser Black-backed x Ring-billed Gull hybrid, which presumably roosted and is very likely the one that has been seen here before, was at sailing club early morning. 12 Curlew and a Kingfisher there at the same time. c10 Snipe on Horseshoe island. 2+ Chiffchaffs on/around Stones.28/02/2025

2016-10-28A Richard's Pipit flew in at the Millfields end of the dam wall at 0850, calling twice. It then landed on the grassy bank beyond the water tower and stayed for about 2 minutes (though not in view all that time) before being flushed, along with loads of Mipits and Pied Wags, by two joggers. Then lost it and couldn't be relocated despite searching until 1045. Only other birds of note this morning were a pair of Stonechats in a field just around the end of WLC creek.Simon Roddis, Ken Rome
