| 2019-07-04 | A handful of new birds today suggested a little bit of movement: a Dunlin, a Common Sand and 3 Shoveler on Watersports island, 2 Yellow Wags flew S over the Millfields end of the dam wall, and a Kingfisher - possibly a juv based on its short-looking bill - at Millfields. Pair of Barnacles still with 4 goslings at Millfields. Tufted broods of 11 (Millfields island) and 5 (Sailing Club). Adult Little Egret on Stones. Sub-ad Yellow-leg and 2 first-summer Common Gulls at Sailing Club. 15 Rooks over Stones. Presumably the same Skylark still perched on the same bit of fence and later singing over the dam wall. Gadwall female with 9 half-grown ducklings at WLC, presumably the brood from Brown Ale Bay. Little Grebe still sitting in BA Bay. GCGrebes still sitting at WLC and Millfields island, but the Penn Carr nest has been flooded out. 1 Skylark on the dam wall.
