CBC Meeting Schedule for 2025/26 commences in September
All CBC indoor meetings are held in the ‘Henmore Room’ in Carsington Water’s main centre and they start at 19.30h. Entrance fee is £2.00 to members and £2.50 to guests – Parking is free.
7 March 2026 – trip to Old Moor, the prolific RSPB reserve in South Yorkshire, near Barnsley (see mention in the article on page 3 for more background). Meet at the reserve car park 10.30am.
** Tuesday, 17 March 2026: Katie Thorpe tells us about ‘Bringing a “boom” to Middleton Lakes’ and club AGM – starting at 7pm.
10 May 2026 – Spring Birdsong Walk at Carsington Water, led by Simon Roddis (meet 9am, Visitor Centre)
– First Sunday of the month – Birdwatching for Beginners – Meet Visitor Centre (10am-12 noon)
For Severn Trent’s spring programme, it’s often sensible to book a place with the visitor centre (on 01629 540696).
