was formed in January 2003. We are a group of mammal enthusiasts who wish to increase the information about the distribution of mammals throughout the County. We focus in particular on those species which do not already have their own local interest group and/or those which are currently under recorded in Derbyshire. The Carsington Short Course Duathlon is set in the scenic countryside of the Derbyshire Peak District. Carsington Water is situated off the B5035 between Ashbourne and Wirksworth. Carsington Water is an excellent venue with plenty of car parking, numerous shops and an on site restaurant (which provides a superb viewing area for spectators) offering hot meals, snacks and refreshments.
