It is also the 47<sup>th<\/sup> issue since the newsletter was started.\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\n\t&nbsp;Weather and season\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">\n\t&nbsp;2010 was colder, drier and sunnier than average in most areas. 2010 was ranked the 12<sup>th<\/sup> coldest year in the previous 100 years. December was the coldest in over 100 years, with mean temperatures 5&ordm;C below the 1971 &ndash; 2000 average.
